Tomorrow. For a week of sunshine. It’s a comfortable trip, a return to old haunts. But, I am someone who needs a certain amount of planning beforehand- to be sorted. I can wing it once we get there, but i need the prep to be done.
My husband. not so much. Which is why I currently want to strangle him. Things I asked about a week or two ago, that i thought were done? nope. They are not earth shatteringly important, but if I had realised I would have asked for different priorities.
So, he is at the laundromat, drying laundry. I am home, trying to sort out some fiddly bits. and trying to tidy. I will have to use my lunch break tomorrow to sort out more. And then we fly off in the evening.
I know that the trip should be good. but I have to get through the next 24 hours, which are not looking so great.

Oh, those 24 hours before a trip are enough to make me want to pull my hair out at times. There always seems to be *something* that has to be dealt with…
Good luck making it through those 24 and hope you have a great trip!

wishing you cool nerves, and the strong belief everything will work itself out. And in the background I hear jamie’s voice with ‘what a difference a day makes… 24 little hours…
To sunshine!

Have a wonderful trip. I am the same as you; I can be flexible once we’re on the ground, but I need to leave the house in a certain way and have an idea of what we have planned in order to feel comfortable.

Yes- I need the central structure to be planned out roughly- adaptations can then be made

Oh, have a great trip! I am a planner, too, and hate winging it. It’s freeing to do it eventually, but I grumble mumble all the way and it stresses me out. I hope the days leading up to your trip go quickly, and you have a wonderful, sunshiny time!

How lovely to be flying off for some sun. I can relate to your frustrations. My husband usually decides to pack only at midnight the night before we have to get up at 4 am to catch a flight. Then he wonders why his favourite clothes aren’t clean! Argh.

That sounds familiar! I have learned my travel planning skills and limits over years, my husband has not, but doesn’t acknowledge my experience!
